2023 High Point Holiday Party
FAQs

What time will the tree be lit?  At an unknown time that is likely between 6:30 – 6:50.  If someone tells you they know what time the tree is lighting, they don’t know what they are talking about.

When are the fireworks?  The holiday fireworks show will begin simultaneously with the tree lighting.

How is all this stuff free?  Thanks to our amazing sponsors, Furnitureland Rotary has raised enough money to put on the party and will have excess funds to donate significant money to local charities.

Can I really meet and take pictures with Sir Purr and TopCats?  Yes, Sir Purr and TopCats will attend the party from 4-6.  They will be stationed about 30 feet in front of the tree.  The TopCats are one of the performers that will perform on stage at 530.

Can I really take a picture with Santa for free?  Yes, Santa is available for pictures from 3-6.30.  We will not have a photographer and there is no charge to take your own picture (with your own phone).

Do I need to bring any money with me?  This is a completely free event, but we cant provide free food at the food trucks, craft vendors, and local businesses that are open.  BUT you dont need any more to take pictures with Santa and Sir Purr; play on the bounce houses; or get hot cocoa and s’mores (we do have limited supplies so make sure you arrive early)

Where do I get free hot cocoa and s’mores?  The food lion tent in the stock & Grain Parking lot  will start serving both at 3pm.  They have 1,000 servings of hot cocoa and 500 s’mores so arrive early.

Where do I park?  Parking is available at 1st baptist church and at all High Point Rockers lot (except for the VIP lot on Lindsay St).  Parking | High Point Rockers Baseball

How do I make sure I am not on the trolley when the tree lights?  The last Trolley ride ends at 630.  We 100% promise that we wont light the tree when the trolley is running.

How many bounce houses will there be?  We have 8 bounce activities.  1 is a toddler bounce house (inside the stadium by the playground), 4 traditional bounce houses on Elm St (including a 70 ft obstacle course and a 22 ft slide), and 3 bounce games for the older kids and adults (in the Stock & Grain Parking lot).

Are adult beverages allowed?  Yes, the party is in the middle of the High Point Social District. So you are allowed to freely walk the party with alcohol purchased from Stock & Grain, HP Trousers, PLank St Tavern (and the other bars/breweries in the Social District). Social District | High Point, NC (highpointnc.gov)

Is there a map of the party zone?  Yes, it will be posted by Sunday, 11/12.

How can I help or be involved in next year’s party? Please email Joe Hellinger, the party director @ JHellinger@TriadBusinessBank.com
